Lectures The process of art-making is like a trail to uncover the truth. Layers of brush strokes leave bloody wounds and drying scars when increasing stories that would make the abstract phenomena virtualized. As I keep on working with oil paint, the bloody scars and the visual presentations reword me with endless victorious smiles. Visible and invisible awareness is thus purified and makes my life cleaner and more peaceful.

Concept
In order to visit the archetype of motherhood—"Female Genealogy", I practice the mythology which belongs to the pre-history world, as well as the chaotic world which belongs to the pre-mythological world. Through the study and research, I tried to re-construct the told mythological stories and a new myth also appeared in a series of paintings I made since. On the process of visiting the "Female Pedigree", I realized the way I was brought up by my mother —an unusual woman who used to combine avant-garde as well as traditional thought in my education. . I actually don’t want to raise Yuan-Hao, my daughter, the same way my mother hadraised me, yet no matter what I had decided, I found my mother’s shadow behind. Maybe by keep on telling stories and keep on recording the stories in my painting will this problem be solved.
